U.S. and Mexican authorities detail coordinated effort to capture drug lord

MEXICO CITY — The half-dozen Mexican commandos who burst into Room 401 of the Miramar condominium building in the beach town of Mazatlan found the world's most-wanted drug lord not armed to the teeth, but shirtless and curled up in bed with his beauty-queen wife. An assault rifle was at his side, but he didn't try to grab it.
